Practical Nursing (LPN) Graduates

I currently work as an LPN at Teche Action clinic which is a low income facility and also at Teche Regional Hospital in Morgan City doing Agency work.
When I received my first pay check, my kids asked me to bring them to Incredible Pizza, but they did not want to spend too much money.  They were so excited when I told them I can bring them to Walmart and Incredible Pizza.  I have never seen my kids so happy!
That Sunday in church my son stood up and told the congregation that he was so proud of me for finishing school and staying true to my promises to them.
I want to thank Delta College for helping me make my dreams come true.

The things I liked most about Delta were the staff and instructors.  They were wonderful!  Everyone was very helpful in seeing our class succeed.  I love being a nurse.  It gives me great satisfaction in helping others.  My job is very challenging, but that’s what I need to succeed.

I liked the small classes at Delta and the close relationships between the teachers and students.  I am so excited and pleased with my job.  They are great people to work for and they will pay for me to go back to school!

I liked the wide variety of clinical / hands-on experience provided by Delta.  Every one of the teachers there was dedicated and was not just there for the paycheck…they strived each and every day to help us become the safe and competent nurses we are today!

I love my new job as an LPN!  I work with a wonderful group of people who all believe in maintaining the welfare of our residents.  I am pleased with my new career because it gives me the opportunity to do what I truly love, which is helping those who need it most.
