The Slidell campus is located in the Northside Plaza at Highway 190 and Highway 11 in the business district of Slidell, and easily accessed from the three major Interstate systems. The campus serves the community of Slidell and New Orleans, LA and Picayune, MS. The Slidell campus is a Branch campus of Delta College in Covington.
Our History
Founded in December of 1983, Delta College of Arts & Technology, Inc. was conceived for the purpose of offering quality art instruction. In September of 1985 Delta College was incorporated under the name of Louisiana Art Institute to accommodate a larger scope of instruction.
In June of 1992 Louisiana Art Institute was purchased by Delta College of Arts & Technology, Inc., and continued to operate as Louisiana Art Institute
Since June of 1992 the college has added programs in the medical, dental, nursing, and business/office fields. The addition of these programs significantly broadened the scope of training to where the Louisiana Art Institute name was no longer representative of the training offered. On October1, 1997, the name was changed to the corporate name of Delta College of Arts & Technology, Inc.
